Just got back from our Christmas Pageant

We have out Christmas Pageant at the 5:00 Service. It was adorable, as usual. Before the service our priest told me that at another church in our diocese, the Archangel Gabriel got in a tug of war with the Virgin Mary. The poor Baby Jesus was caught in the middle. I want to share the funniest story about Christmas Pageants that I have ever heard. It is a true story. At one church the Innkeeper had one line, "There is no room at the end." His parents practiced with him and he did fine in the practice. On the evening of the pageant, the Innkeeper opened the door, looked at Mary and Joseph, and announced, "There is no room at the Inn." He closed the door, thought about it, opened the door again, and said, "But would you like to come in for a drink?"

I remember a Christmas pageant where my brother, in kindergarten, was chosen to be baby Jesus because he was the smallest in the class.
They went the whole root and wrapped him in swaddling clothes. At the end of the skit they all took their bows and left the stage, except my brother, who was wrapped from head to toes, including his arms.
Needless to say he couldn't walk and had to stay there til someone remembered to go and get him. He did get a standing ovation.

On the evening of the pageant, the Innkeeper opened the door, looked at Mary and Joseph, and announced, "There is no room at the Inn." He closed the door, thought about it, opened the door again, and said, "But would you like to come in for a drink?"
