Zazu went to his new home last saturday and though I was not there, Andy said it went really well. The guy who adopted him is awesome. I first met him when he came to interview for Uriel but the macaw was not the right match dispite his extensive experience with parrots. He ended up with zazu instead! How funny things work out sometimes!

Bye bye little Zazu have a happy life with your new human. It is funny how the birds decide what works for them.

Anna -

I'm so glad Zazu has found a good home (or that you found it for him).

I can't imagine how you must feel letting one go because I feel a little twinge of missing him/her when you post that one or another of them that you have talked about on the board has been rehomed.

I guess that is offset by the joy of having found them good homes.

Do you keep up with the rehomes?

I only bred my Standard Poodle once, and only then because my purchase agreement with the breeder required me to. I didn't even see the puppies (I knew I would keep keep them if I did), but I still wonder what happened to them, if they are happy.

Anna - I truly don't know how you do what you do.

You bring a bird into your home and heart - rahabilitate when necessary and find them a good home. All that must take an emotional toll on you having to say good by so many times. It takes dedicated and strong person like you.

I could never be a breeder because I would want to keep each and every one. And then I would have to find a new wife... :sadd1:
