I had a dental appointment today and they made my check-up for July 8. It dawned on me that we had better set a date so some of us can start looking for cheap air tickets.

Is that a definite with everyone? Who all will be trying to go?

Heather it would be great to have you there, and to meet Zoey. It is at Anna's, if you need a place to stay I think she may have a couple more openings, maybe we need her to let us all know any updates if there are any.

So far Andy has reserved the master bedroom. (He's Anna's husband, btw.) At Anna's mom, there is one single room and I have dibs on it. I am the oldest and tiredest, so I need my rest. I say that but I would be afraid I would miss something.

Now how can we help with food?

Dates for our very first Happy Birdy Holiday are: July 11th, 12th, 13th. Some may be coming sooner and/or leaving later, but these are the dates planned. Birds are welcome, but they must stay at my house and they must be seen for a well birdy check up before coming. There is a heated indoor pool so bring your swimming gear. Also bring enough $ to go out to a nice dinner/lunch. For those who are interested, I think we will be visiting the Tram - which is a train car that climbs up our entire Sandia Mountain to the top. I will find out about group rates. If you all want to pitch in food for the cookout and other times when I will be cooking, that's fine. Otherwise, don't worry about it.

Heather (I did invite you...though Bhodi bit you a few minutes later, so I can understand you not remembering!!! LOL!) Would you be coming for the day or do you need a place to stay?

We will be going to the Tram on Saturday morning and will have our happy birdy cookout in the afternoon and into the evening when we return which will include a BBQ and swimming. Friday night we may go out to dinner if everyone has arrived by then. Sunday I would like to cook a nice brunch. The rest is undecided. If most of you want to arrive in the evening on Thursday (the 10th) that's fine. The same goes if you would like to stay until Monday morning, (the 14th) that's fine...we can do something fun on Friday or Sunday if that's the case.

***Unless Larry decides not to come, all rooms are filled up. We still have a full sized hide-a-bed available as well as 3 comfortable couches and lots of room on the floor, but there are no more rooms unless Larry and his wife are not coming. If he does not come there will be a room with a queen sized bed.***

Heather, you can either sleep on the hide-a-bed downstairs or you are welcome to have the 1st bedroom, should Larry decide not to come. ...Or...you are welcome to sleep on the sofa at my house. The only thing is that if you bring Zoey, she needs to stay at my house as my parents have requested not to have the birds stay with them. Also, they have a fairly hyper golden retriever who seems interested in the birds...so it might not be safe for Zoey there, regardless of my parent's wishes. Michelle had offered to have someone stay at her house (10 mins away), though I am not sure if that still stands. If it does, I know she would adore it if Zoey stayed there too. You can still bring Zoey (Bonnie is brining her moluccan, chicken) though again, she would have to stay at my house.
