Don't yah just love 'em

Sunday mornings are one of my favorite times of the week and with the birds. Some mornings I might lay on the sofa and one of the macaws will just have to join me and lay on their backs and I play with their toesies.

This morning I am in the comuter room. I have a small 9 gal tank here. Molly (scarlet) and Irish (military) discovered the fish in the tank. A good 5 minutes they sat and watched the fish go by.

Now they are on the table top playstand grooming each other. Each has a wing up for the other to hide under and then there is the gentle grooming. Each have been over visiting with me and grooming me appropriately.

Wow...amazing moments that you just can't explain except to other bird people.

I do just love 'em! Sunday afternoon is usually our 'lazy' day. It's SO great to just spend time with a bird. It teachesme to really appreciate the bond I have with him.

The past 4 days have been wonderful... lots of time to be with the birds and no work. But it sure makes going to work the next day harder... I miss my babies.

Every day with them is special, but there are just those times when something they do (or don't do) strikes you with a bigger impact.
It might be the simplest thing, and it just wows you. Those are the coolest moments.

LOL! Unfortunately I do have to work to help pay for my out of control bird habit ;) But its not all that bad. We're usually back by 3 so there is still time to play with everyone. And of course my Little Cashew is always with me first thing in the morning. He is the perfect way to start any day :luvv:

I love our lazy days with Sam too....
