Sometimes I get so sad

A few things happend tonight that brought to my mind our late Jillian who lived in New Zealand. She posted on another board by the screen name of Tony Evans.

She was my dear friend. We were brought together because of our mutual love for our birds. She was very ill during her last days. I was planning a trip to New Zealand to be with her before she passed. We all thought that she might have another year to be with us but that was not to be for she passed away shortly after her birthday.

Many of you know the story but some don't. We as a bird loving community sent her birthday cards, flowers and many birdy pics. She loved to see birdy pics - especially ones that she did not have in her country.

And some of you might not know that she is the very reason HappyBirdy is what it is today. This is all done in her honor. So by being here - you honor her and her love for her birds.

I bow my head and weep because I miss her.

Oh Larry.... I know you miss her. I have her photo saved in my pics on my computer so I see her often. I miss reading you two talk on... well... that one place. I can quite honestly say that if it weren't for her and you I wouldn't be as 'in to' birds as I am. She was wonderful. I fully believe she is looking down on us happy to see that we are all still together and doing well on HB. And think of all those Macaws and other birds she takes care of these days!!!

She was a dear and wonderful person. Here is a picture of her on her birthday, proudly holding the flowers our bird family sent to her.

There is always someone we miss that touched us in a special way. But if we are capable of these feelings then there is room for othres coming into our lives whether it be people or anima. We all came from one bird site and what a wonderful place to have met. We are no stronger than that site with a very human side added. Look how she has spurred people on to other things.

She is definitely missed Larry. I miss her wonderful stories. But just think of all the wonderful memories she gave all of us :)

In her passing she left us two beautiful gifts. A lesson in humanity that we all learned from, and Happy Birdy which is a home away from home for many of us.
