Looks like she may have chewed on two of the three. When I used to have Cockatoos they would do that sometimes. It's been a while since I've had toos.

My Umbrellas do that to those molted feathers they can get to, I find many like that in their nest, but they are a breeding pair, so - looks perfectly normal to me -

but I am just another out of work comedian.......

I'm too old and mean to say, "I love you, Don," but I want you to know that you always make me laugh. I, too, am an out of work comedian, but sense of humor is so warped that people don't recognize it as humor.:rofl:

Enlish + Spanish = Spanglish or Spinglish

Ok, so searious question here. My too that is a mutilater loves to do this to featers. Is there a way to tell if he is "pulling" the ones he does this to or if they are coming out naturally? Sorry if this seems like a silly question.

Julie I saw a pic (can't remember where) and the feathers do look different at the end ... basicly the plucked feather will have traces of blood and the molted are clean... if I find that picture again I will post it...

NO question is silly if you don't know the answer. I don't believe there is a way to tell unless you see him pull it, unless it is a blood feather & there's still blood in the end then he probubly pulled it.

With out 24 hr video cameras it is difficult to make that certain.

Thats what I figured, but I was just curious if there was more I could look for in a feather on the bottom of the cage.

You could ck to see if it was snapped off or if there is any blood visible on the base end tip, if normal & complete it is difficult.
