Someone called me this morning, she got my number from an acquaintance. She just moved her parents up here from FL, her Mom is in an assisted living ctr and her Dad has alzheimers and is now in another facility. They are separated after 63 years of marriage. :(

The little Tiel is the husband's birdy, he is approx 10 yrs old and the wife can't give him the attention he needs, clean the cage etc. I'm going to get him tomorrow.
His name is Twerpy. :p I won't be changing it since he has had a very good home and won't really need a new start like a rescue that comes from a bad environment.

I had 3 rescue Tiels a while back, and loved them so much, and eventually found them a great home. I waited until I could find a home where they could all stay together since they'd been together their whole lives. They were much younger birdies. I know I can't keep all the rescues, I don't have the room or the money to keep them all, but this rehome birdy will be staying here for the rest of his days. I'm so excited! :dancered:

Hi Chrissy, I'll post pics of my other babies now. Sorry, I've been meaning to, just haven't. :smiles:

How awesome that this little guy will not have to suffer being passed around and around. You have a wonderfully big heart for taking him into your home. I know that he will be enjoyed and well loved. What a lucky little fellow he must be! I'm sure his current owners are really going to miss him. Sometimes watching an owner say goodbye is really the hardest thing in the world...Good luck.

Thank you all! I don't have him yet, he is so use to FL temps, the heat and humidity, that I am waiting until 3 pm tomorrow to get him. It is "suppose" to be around 60 and sunny tomorrow. I will meet the daughter at the assisted living facility and put him in a covered carrier, and have the heat on high in my car and home. She will be giving me all his food that he likes, the toys he likes most, so I will know exactly what he will need to feel at home, the best he can after being with the same family his whole life. The daughter said something about "long payaya treats" ?? I guess I'll find out.
I swore to myself I'd not take another one in (room and $$$!) but this 10 yr old has won my heart already! :p

I'll post pics of him as soon as I can! I love Twerpy already! :)
