I just watched them forage and I love to do that. Then the two zons were doing one-footers and grinding their beaks. Oh, how I love that. The Scarlet was grooming. The RFM had tucked her head and was doing a one-footer. I love the head tuck too. I wonder what they say about our daily activities.
Blue-fronted Alien: Oh, my God, she's lying down again.
Scarlet Alien: I have finally gotten used to that if she is on her back, but when she lies on her side, it weirds me out.
Red-fronted Alien: I know what you mean. How can they do that?
Napeless Alien: Have you ever noticed that she always closes both eyes at the same time? Weird. How would she know if danger approached? (A little extra about the Napeless Alien: Leroy is a YNA, but she has no yellow on her nape. Breeders refer to these birds as Napeless Napes. For this post, she will be a Napeless Alien.)
Human begins to snore.
Blue-fronted Alien: What is that noise?
Scarlet Alien: Don't worry. It is a good thing.
Red-fronted Alien: Yeah. It means she is full and content.
Napeless Alien: What a strange way to express pleasure. But, of course, their mouths are so small and are filled with those weird white thingies.
What kind of observations do you think your alien sent back to the Mothership today?

I think, personally, my birds are not the best aliens... Tiki does anything to be the center of attention, the others could care less whats going on.

I only have one Alien... but I know what he had to say today....
Well... it's Saturday...
that means the human is going to get out that green spray bottle and give me a 'bath'. It's like she thinks I smell bad or something. As if I like to sit there while she sprays me with water. I'm glad Im the only one here or this would really be humiliating...
At least she lets me play with the wind machine when we're done... Now THAT is almost worth taking a bath...
(after our bath... he hates me after bath time lol)
Do you think they report about hair destructive behavior? The females, for some unknown reason, remove the hair from their legs and under their arms. The males remove the hair from their face. Females rarely have facial hair, but if they do, they remove it.

Scarlet Alien: She almost always does it after a bath. That is so odd because my feathers always feel the best after a bath.
Red-fronted Alien: Gosh, it upsets me so much when she does it. I try not to worry because Diane (Cloud's assignment) thinks she does it more when he worries.

I'm gonna work the fact that you're retired into this post for you. :yeah:I think you should write a book! It could be called "A(v)(l)ians and the people that serve them". It would be ALLLLL about the reports back to the mother ship, almost in a journal form. IE:

Today was much the same as any other day, yet I'm starting to ponder my servants ways. She is becoming more wiley I believe, learning our advanced language and culture. This is of great concern to all A(v)(l)ians. We have come up with a wonderful defensive maneuver. In an effort to make our servents bend to our will we have started moving our tongues, and tasting what they carry in their noses. This seems to have them suitably fooled...

I am so glad you guys are playing. I am not getting the email notifications. I read the few I got but didn't even know these posts were here. I was beginning to think, gee, they now know how weird I am and no one wants to play. Poop. Ha! Today I discover that you guys have been playing and playing well. Hehehehehehe Yes. I concur. We are sick! But it's such fun to be an abbie normal :smiles: this is the look i carry on my face all the day long. That or :glare: because I have a sneaking suspicion that the a(v)(l)ians are learning to read my typing from the reflection in my glasses. @_@

I've been under some kind of a spell or something. Everytime I go shopping, I buy more stuff for Cloud. I've been having so much fun on Happy Birdy, I've put off all my Christmas shopping and baking. The family is coming here for dinner. (Oooo, make mental note to self . . . don't serve birdy bread muffins with crushed eggshells to guests instead of apple strudel muffins by mistake) Now we're in the eleventh hour and I'm rushing around like a maniac. I think I've got something for everyone on my list. If I forgot anyone, I'll give a spool of sisal rope I got for you know who.
Darn! I hate when he reads over my shoulder. Gotta go and prove to him I still have three for him!
