Among them are Tiki, Toby, Tucker, & Mic. Now...who is the odd-ball out?

Tiki was michelle's first love, a little cockatiel that she brought home almost a year ago. He was not weaned when given to her and he nearly died of starvation after she did not realize that he was not eating for a few days. I took care of him and nursed him back to health, using a steel feeding tube. Today he is vibrant and full of so much personality, it cannot be contained!

I have not gotten to know toby or mic very well, but they are a little more shy and quiet. Mic likes to hang out with tiki and the joy of his day seems to be sneaking into tiki's cage to chow on his food and play with his toys. Tiki and mic really seem to like Toby - the shy one of the bunch (who I believe is a girl) but she does not seem terribly interested in the two of them. They have been having little birdy "pow-wows" in toby's cage and she wears this expression that says "They invited themselves so now what can I do about it?" We are really enjoying this fantastic little flock.

Tucker is michelle's quaker but for those of you who have known me a while, you will remember that we rescued tucker who was flying around someone's yard in albuquerque. Tucker really does ride the short bus andis quite slow. He does not know how to step up but he is such a lovey little guy. He loves to cuddle in pockets and under chins and he has to feel like he is the king. If he does not feel like king, he will growl at his subjects until they obey. I snuck tucker into the hospital to see michelle yesterday and he really cheered her up.

All of the birds are doing very well and seem too spoiled to be very sad about the circomstances. I think they know that their momma will be back for them just as soon as she can. Until then they will be lavished with wonderful food and toys. We did not have time to get the bird's cages when we moved them from michelle's house, so they are using some that we have and I think they are enjoying their roomy accomidations. I can't wait for michelle to come home so she can be reunited with her babies.

They are charming, the first bird looks a lot like our Pisces. So wonderful that you can keep them happy till she is able.

Aww little sweeties. I'll bet it brightened Tuckers day as much as Michelle's when you took him to see her.

Great looking teils. How are they doing? Are they missing Michelle? As for Tucker, I can't imagine a slow Quaker. They are just so smart. For what he lacks in wit, he makes up for in looks. Thanks.

they are as happy as ever, whistling away, playing, and having a great time. They have all been here before so they are probably more comfortable with this arrangement than elsewhere.

They are all such beautiful birds, and are very lucky to be in your hands. You are such a caring person. I wish there were more people like you around, especially here in Montreal. I have no one to really trust to take care of Cody, only the vet, where we board him when we go away, but it's not the same!

I would take the chance to get to know Cody in a heartbeat (but not if it was at someone's expense - meaning I hope nothing ever happens to you where Cody would need care!!!) He just has such a magnetic personality. :)
