Duch is just dying to know (and me too...) how Sunshine and Evelyn are doing. Duch wants to know how far away her new boy friend is going to be roosting.... hehehe...

On a more serious note, I hope your trip went well Evelyn, and you are enjoying the busy household that Anna has. I'm jealous you get to hold Miss Katie, and meet all the birds....

As luck would have it, Evelyn ended up not being able to make it out here this week. She had some personal things come up. At the same time, andy and I and Gabe ended up sick with whatever cold michelle had. Katie is fine. So, we're just resting today. We aren't going to go bug michelle and I stayed home from church. My life is booked solid for the next month with medical tests, weddings, trips to houston, etc. so we have rescheduled evelyns visit for the 1st of May. I hope you are doing well today miss julie. Give all of those wonderful birdies a scritch from their auntie.

I haven't gone to NM yet. My new legal assistant quit suddenly two days before I was to leave, and a close friend whose honorary pallbearer I agreed to be, died. As it happened, it would not have been a good time anyway, because Anna and Gabe came down with the flu.

I've rebooked for May 1-4th; and don't worry, you all will be the third to know (after Anna's family and my hubbie).

Sorry to hear that your trip was delayed, but it sounds like it will work out for all by waiting a couple more weeks. I am sorry to hear about your friend, and hope you have a nice quiet weekend to recoup, sounds like you have had a stressful week!

Her name is Linda Cannon. I met her at our local Bird Club and we became friends. She's had cancer for awhile and fought it to her last breath. She was a beautiful person inside, and she loved her birds. Her husand made her find homes for them near the end because he didn't want to feed them and clean up after them. Linda was a nut about cleanliness. She cleaned the cages completely morning and night--not just change papers.

Hopefully, she is in a better place now. At least her suffering is over.
